Job summary

Qualifications

• Must be a Certified Nursing Assistant with 1 year in a behavioral health/neuroscience unit.
• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• CPI (Crisis Prevention Institute) certification within 60 days of hire; BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in providing safe, therapeutic patient care and participate in patient groups.
• Interview patients and families for routine admission data and assist in care planning.
• Interact with patients individually and in small groups to encourage participation.
• Document patient information and report significant changes to the RN.
