Job summary

UNC Health Youth Behavioral Health (YBH) in Butner, NC seeks a Clinical Nurse I to join a multidisciplinary team providing acute psychiatric stabilization for adolescents aged 12 to 15. The role emphasizes frontline nursing care in a 14-bed inpatient unit with a focus on safety, trauma-informed care, and coordinated discharge planning.

The position requires RN licensure in North Carolina, BSN within the required timeframe for newer hires, and participation in a weeklong orientation.

Qualifications

• RN license in North Carolina
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required or BSN within seven years if hired after Jan 6, 2014
• Licensure as RN in NC and BLS certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide competent nursing care per professional standards
• Coordinate patient care using nursing process in hospital setting
• Educate patients/families and participate in discharge planning
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to meet patient needs
