Job summary

Guidelight Health is seeking an Education Facilitator to support adolescents in our PHP and IOP programs at the Norwood site. You will collaborate with schools and families to maintain educational progress while in treatment.

This is a per diem, Monday–Friday role with hours 12pm–3pm (about 15 hours/week). A Bachelor’s degree in education or related field and 2+ years working with adolescents in behavioral health or special education are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Special Education, or related field.
• 2+ years of experience working with adolescents in behavioral health or special education.
• Experience in educational planning and curriculum facilitation for diverse learners.
• Strong understanding of mental health and its impact on learning.
• Ability to work in a multidisciplinary team with therapists, counselors, and case managers.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Compassionate, patient, and adaptable with a passion for working with adolescents.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with schools and families to maintain educational progress during treatment.
• Provide individualized educational support and adapt curricula as needed.
• Serve as a liaison between schools and Guidelight Health staff.
• Develop and implement educational strategies aligned with treatment goals.
• Create a learning environment that supports academic achievement and emotional well-being.
• Conduct assessments to evaluate educational needs and progress, keeping records.
• Maintain a structured yet flexible learning environment.
• Collaborate with mental health professionals to integrate education with treatment plans.
• Guide adolescents to improve study habits and confidence.
