Job summary

Horizon Recovery in the United States is seeking a House Therapist to provide professional counseling to adolescents, families, and groups within a 10-bed behavioral health residential facility. The role focuses on developing treatment plans, tracking progress, and documenting care in coordination with the Clinical Director.

The position requires a Master’s degree in counseling or psychology, current licensure, and a minimum of one year in behavioral health.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Master’s degree or higher in counseling, psychology, or a related licensable field.
• Current state licensure or certification as a therapist (e.g., LPC, LCSW, LMFT).
• 21 years of age or older.
• Pass a criminal background check and drug screen.
• Possess or obtain Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Minimum of 1 year work experience in behavioral health.
• Experience with adolescents preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide therapy to individuals, families, and groups at a 10-bed residential behavioral health facility.
• Conduct initial and ongoing evaluations and discharge planning for clients.
• Collaborate with families/guardians to develop treatment plans and goals.
• Deliver individual, family, and group therapy sessions.
• Liaise with Clinical Director and Chief Clinical Officer for major events and updates.
• Maintain high ethical standards and confidentiality; adhere to Horizon Recovery policies.
