Job summary

Hidden Creek Recovery & Retreat (HCRR) is seeking a part‑time Behavioral Health Technician to support adolescents ages 11–17 in a residential setting. The role covers supervision, safety, documentation, and maintaining a therapeutic environment under the Director of Housing and Transportation.

The position requires calm decision‑making in crises, teamwork with a multidisciplinary staff, and adherence to infection control and safety guidelines. Weekend shifts are included (Fri–Sun).

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• CPR certification preferred.
• Must pass a Level 2 Background Check.
• Preferred 0–1 year experience with adolescents in related settings.

Responsibilities

• Maintain continuous supervision and a safe, therapeutic environment for clients and staff.
• Provide active support and model appropriate behavior for adolescent clients.
• Monitor, observe, and document client behavior and participation.
• Count and track all clients with accurate documentation.
• Supervise self-administered medications as directed.
• Assist with implementation of daily and weekly residential structure.
• Complete and submit incident reports and notify leadership of safety concerns.
• Report medical emergencies and ACA incidents to leadership promptly.
• Complete end-of-shift reports via email to the Director.
• Orient new admissions and complete housing intake documentation.
• Search client belongings for contraband and conduct random searches.
• Monitor curfews and ensure adherence to program rules.
• Transport clients to appointments and activities using company vehicles.
• Attend all staff meetings and mandatory in-services.
• Follow infection control and safety guidelines at all times.
• Report illness or contagious symptoms to leadership.
