Job summary

Commonpoint in New York's Mental Health Division seeks a Clinical Director, Adolescent Services & Internships to provide individual psychotherapy to adolescents at the AD Clinic, supervise social work interns, and collaborate with schools and community partners.

The role reports to the Senior Director of Mental Health Integration, balancing direct clinical work, supervision, outreach, and program development, with salary and comprehensive benefits described in the role details.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, or a related behavioral health field.
• Current New York State license as a mental health professional with ability to supervise interns.
• Clinical experience providing behavioral health services to adolescents and families.
• Experience supervising social work interns, trainees, or early-career clinicians.
• Ability to balance direct clinical service, supervision, outreach, and program development.
• Strong proficiency with electronic health records, Google Workspace, and data management systems.

Responsibilities

• Maintain an active caseload of adolescent/young adult clients and provide individual psychotherapy.
• Meet productivity expectations by managing caseload and scheduling sessions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation for care, billing, and compliance.
• Participate in clinical consultation, case conferences, and quality improvement activities.
• Develop relationships with schools and youth organizations to strengthen referrals.
• Provide regular supervision to social work interns in line with standards.
• Review intern documentation and support development of clinical judgment.
