Job summary

Daniel Memorial Inc. in Jacksonville, FL is seeking a Residential Counselor to support adolescents within our behavioral health program.

This part-time role requires delivering care per the treatment plan, assisting with daily living activities, and maintaining a safe, supportive environment on the unit. Responsibilities include crisis intervention, documenting progress notes, coordinating activities, ensuring medication safety, and collaborating with the treatment team to meet client needs

Qualifications

• AA degree required with at least 1 year experience with at-risk children or mental health
• Must effectively use crisis intervention techniques
• Valid Florida driver's license in good standing
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Basic computer knowledge and strong organizational skills

Responsibilities

• Implements daily living activities to support wake up, meals, hygiene and safety.
• Maintains clients' personal hygiene, grooming and infection control.
• Sets appropriate limits with clients and escorts them to activities on or off campus as needed.
• Documents in clients' files and weekly summaries in a timely manner.
• Relates with clients, parents, peers and the public in a respectful and professional manner.
• Ensures medications administered are accurate and timely.
