Job summary

EMPACT- Suicide Prevention Center, part of the La Frontera family, seeks a Behavior Management Specialist to support adolescents and families in homes, schools, and community settings. The role emphasizes behavior management, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and meeting deadlines while maintaining high-quality documentation.

The candidate should have a high school diploma or GED, an AZDHS/BHS BHT level if possible, and experience with at-risk youth.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• BHT level as stipulated by AZDHS/BHS is preferred.
• Experience working with at-risk adolescents preferred.
• One year minimum experience in an applicable or relevant behavioral health setting.
• Knowledge of Behavior Management Techniques.
• Ability to facilitate meetings and groups with community members, families and teens.
• Experience with children in DCS care and RBHA systems preferred.
• Experience assisting teens with independent living skills and transition to adulthood preferred.
• Must be able to work with multiple systems and families in crisis.
• Teen substance abuse experience preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are required.
• Excellent time management and documentation skills required.
• Fingerprint clearance card or eligibility to obtain one.
• Valid AZ driver license with clean record; regular access to reliable transportation.
• Bi-lingual (Spanish) is a plus; differential per hour available.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support with a strong emphasis on behavior management to adolescents and families in homes, schools, or community settings.
• Facilitate groups assisting adolescents toward independent living and healthy community activities.
• Collaborate with teams serving families within the Child and Family Team process.
• Adhere to deadlines, medical records compliance and performance requirements.
• Occasional evening hours required.
