Job summary

BRAZOSPORT COLLEGE is seeking adjunct instructors for the Associate Degree Nursing program in Lake Jackson, TX. These pool positions are filled on an as-needed basis to teach nursing content in a clinical setting, with the possibility of up to 19 hours per week depending on the semester.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing from a regionally accredited college or university with at least (6) graduate semester hours in nursing content appropriate to specific teaching responsibility.
• Current and unencumbered license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Texas.
• Up-to-date immunizations and annual TB screening.
• Current American Heart Association BLS Healthcare Provider certification.
• Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
• Three (3) years of non-teaching work experience in the field.
• Interest in alternative instructional delivery methods.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Other qualities, experiences, and skills that enhance one’s value to the institution.
• Exceptional employment or educational qualifications may be given special consideration.

Job Summary / Basic Function

Adjunct Instructors are hired in a part-time capacity on an as needed basis. These positions are filled prior to or during each semester and are contingent upon the needs of the College.

Brazosport College accepts application materials for pool positions on a continuing basis throughout the year from qualified applicants willing to teach on a part-time basis.
