Job summary

University Medical Center of Southern Nevada is seeking an Admissions Clerk to obtain patient demographics, insurance information and signatures, process authorizations and prepare patients for discharge. The role requires familiarity with EPIC EHR and at least one year in hospital admissions or a medical office setting.

Equivalent to a high school diploma with solid math and communication skills will ensure success.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• EPIC EHR experience is preferred.
• One year of admissions experience in a hospital or medical office setting is expected.

Responsibilities

• Obtain demographics, insurance information and signatures from patients.
• Receive authorization forms and obtain authorizations.
• Place ID bracelets on patients' wrists; collect payments and discharge patients.
