Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develops and maintains Slate workflows, forms, queries, rules, communications, and related system functionality.
  • Analyses business processes and operational requirements to identify automation, efficiency, and process improvements in Slate.
  • Maintains data integrity, supports day-to-day operations of the undergraduate Slate system, and trains new users.
  • Works with Admissions staff and campus stakeholders to improve application processing and recruitment effectiveness.
  • Serves as liaison and Slate support for talent-based admissions programs and populations (e.g., Music, Dance, Theatre, Studio Art, Film).
  • Participates in special events hosted by the Office of Admissions.

Responsibilities

The Division of Enrollment Management is comprised of four distinct units: Office of Admissions, Office of the University Registrar , Office of Financial Aid , and Technology Operations. Enrollment Management's integrated services provide distinctive support throughout the students' development and progression in their academic experience - from recruitment through commencement. Through collaboration, communication, and commitment, all units within Enrollment Management achieve the highest level of student-centered service to current and prospective students and families as well as to campus partners across the University.

  • The Technology Operations Unit within Enrollment Management provides technology support, technology-based solutions, systems configuration, identity and data management, and analysis across the division. The unit works closely with subject matter experts in Admissions, Registrar, and Financial Aid to meet the operational and reporting needs of various stockholders across campus.
  • Works collaboratively with Admissions staff and campus stakeholders to develop scalable solutions that improve data integrity, application processing, communication delivery, and student experience. Develops and maintains Slate workflows, forms, queries, rules, communications, and related system functionality. Analyzes business processes and operational requirements to identify opportunities for automation, efficiency, and process improvement through Slate. Develops and maintains advanced reporting tools to guide decision-making and improve recruitment effectiveness. Stays current on Slate capabilities and best practices and actively engages with peer institutions to share ideas and improve processes. Evaluates new feature requests and assesses their potential impact and feasibility.
  • Serves as liaison and Slate support resource for designated talent-based admissions programs and populations, including but not limited to Music, Dance, Theatre, Studio Art, and Film. Collaborates with program staff and campus partners to develop and maintain application and review processes that support program objectives. Coordinates with departmental stakeholders to reconcile data, identify process issues, send communications to prospective students, and improve applicant experiences.
  • Supports the day-to-day operations of the undergraduate Slate system by maintaining documentation, ensuring data integrity, and providing responsive support to internal and external users. Contributes to the Admissions knowledgebase and delivers training to new users to promote consistent and effective use of Slate.
  • Participates in special events hosted by the Office of Admissions. Assists other sections during peak times in support of the goals of Enrollment Management.
Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree and two years of experience; or a high school diploma or equivalent and six years of experience. (Note: a combination of post high school education and experience equal to six years.)

Preferred Qualifications
  • The ability to prioritize and organize multiple work assignments simultaneously.
  • Experience with data management as well as using Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook or comparable software.
  • Demonstrable technical experience to include handling configuration changes, modifications, enhancements and/or workarounds related to an application.
  • Applicants should be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships and be able to communicate effectively verbally and in writing. Preferred applicants should have a strong understanding of University admissions and recruitment processes.
  • Previous work experience with admissions CRMs (Slate).
  • Candidates with a strong sense of initiative and the demonstrated ability to manage multiple responsibilities concurrently are preferred.
  • The ability to make sound judgments while working in a deadline-driven environment is essential.

Anticipated Salary Range

$47,660, commensurate with education and experience.
