As a student employee in the Office of Admissions, you will engage with prospective students and families, assist with administrative tasks, and overall represent Whitman College in various capacities. Your role will contribute to shaping the campus visit experience, providing a warm welcome, and supporting the admission team in their recruitment efforts.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Giving weekly campus tours to prospective families, possible Saturdays included
- Serving on student panels during admission, alumni events, and virtual panels
- Attending A-Team monthly meetings
- Assisting with additional projects as necessary such as letter writing, email correspondence with students, counselor programming, group tours, etc.
- You may be asked to participate in photos or videos used for social media
- Assist with mandatory Admission visitor event days
- Our upcoming event days are:
- Fall 2026 - Saturday, October 17th
- Spring 2027 - Saturday April 10th & Saturday April 24th

- Enjoy sharing stories about personal experiences at Whitman College
- Ability to discuss various aspects of the Whitman experience in detail

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be an enrolled Whitman student taking a minimum of 6 credits
- Demonstrated involvement in campus activities
- Strong interest in representing Whitman College and assisting prospective students
