Position Summary/Purpose

The purpose of the Student worker counselor position is to support the growth, efforts, and goals of the Campus Initiative team (CI) team.

Primary Responsibilities/Accountabilities/Essential Functions

• Keep a clean CRM database
• Calling prospective students and alumni
• Communicate with students via outlook and texting system
• Transferring prospective students to university counselors
• Staying organized via excel and outlook

Equipment Used and Responsibility

Equipment will be provided in the form of a computer and headset for soft phone.

Qualifications

• Experience calling inquiring students
• Experience with CRM database systems
• Ability to stay organized via outlook and CRM
• Ability to build rapport with students inquiring
• Coachability and adaptability

Experience/Education

Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment: Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor’s program or Master’s program.

• Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master level student
• Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University

You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.

Pay Rate

Minimum Wage Anticipated End Date: June 30, 2027
