Job summary

The Connection in Middletown, CT, is seeking an Admissions Specialist to support daily operations of the Eddy Center program. You will orient new clients, complete intake paperwork and assessments, and help residents transition back into the community with a client-centered and strengths-based approach.

The ideal candidate will have experience with individuals in recovery or those who are justice-involved, with the ability to be structured yet compassionate and to maintain professional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or High School Diploma/GED with 4 years of related experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Regular and predictable attendance is required.

Responsibilities

• Orient new clients to the program and complete initial intake paperwork including required assessments.
• Use a strengths-based & client-centered approach to support men re-entering the community.
• Maintain professional and respectful boundaries while providing structured and compassionate support.

Schedule: Full time, 40 hours, 2nd shift, Monday (2:30-10:30p), 1st shift, Tuesday & Wednesday (7-3p) and Thursday & Friday (9-5p)

Program Summary

Eddy Center is a transitional 24-hour residential program which provides both supervision and support to men who are under the supervision of Parole. Services are designed to support positive community re-entry.

Position Summary

The Admissions Specialist is responsible for supporting the daily operations of the program. This position plays an integral role in orienting new clients to the program and completing initial intake paperwork including required assessments. The successful candidate will be able to utilize a strengths-based & client-centered approach in supporting men as they re-enter the community. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals in recovery and/or those who are justice-involved and have an ability to be both structured and compassionate while maintaining professional and respectful boundaries is required.

Requirements

• Regular and predictable attendance is required

Orientation

If selected for employment with The Connection, newly hired employees will be required to attend a two (2) day mandatory New Hire Orientation at our Roscommon office located in Middletown.
