Job summary

American Addiction Centers seeks an Admissions Nurse to join our Florida facility. The role requires nursing expertise to guide admissions, assess client needs, and coordinate with the care team for appropriate placement and high-quality care for patients seeking recovery.

You will perform intake screenings, explain services and costs, deliver compassionate patient care, and document activities while maintaining confidentiality and adherence to regulations.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in Nursing required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Active Nursing License in the State the treatment center is located.
• Knowledge of mental health, addiction, and addiction treatment preferred.
• Detail oriented and able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Able to handle confidential information, and manage time wisely.

Responsibilities

• Perform nursing admissions process, explaining services and related costs, and conducting intake screenings.
• Deliver high quality customer service standards of care and productivity for clients.
• Triage all incoming clients for intended level of care and coordinate with navigators.
• Document patient care services by charting in client and department records.
• Maintain nursing supplies inventory and participate in staff education.
