MaineGeneral Health is seeking an Admissions Representative in Augusta, ME for a part-time role. You will meet with patients or caregivers, collect the required information, explain steps, and coordinate with clinical teams to ensure smooth admission and placement.

You will verify insurance, obtain authorizations when needed, collect payments, and connect patients with financial counseling. Accurate data entry supports both patient care and billing.

You’ll be in regular communication with provider offices, nursing staff, and other internal partners to confirm the right information, coordinate admission details, and support safe and efficient patient placement. The job includes verifying insurance benefits, obtaining authorizations when needed, checking medical necessity, and collecting co-pays, deductibles, and coinsurance. If a patient needs additional financial assistance or guidance, you’ll connect them to our financial counseling team. You’ll ensure all demographic, billing, and clinical information is entered accurately and on time to support both patient care and billing. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
