Job summary

Ponce Health Sciences University (PHSU) Admissions Office in St. Louis seeks an entry-level Admissions Officer with some experience to audit candidate files, recruit prospective students, and support the admissions process across multiple campuses.

The role requires occasional travel, evening and weekend work, and collaboration with the Marketing and Enrollment teams. The position reports to the Admissions Manager and involves data entry, enrollment analytics, and participation in recruitment

Qualifications

• Minimum of an Associate’s degree or commensurate experience.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
• One year of related experience in a high-traffic higher education/university office environment.
• Experience with admissions software (Jenzabar, WebAdmit, OnBase, JRM, Salesforce) recommended.

Responsibilities

• Contact incoming inquiries for potential admissions into graduate programs.
• Verify and review applications and pre-qualify candidates for interviews and evaluation.
• Data entry of documents into the SIS for reporting purposes.
• Audit prerequisites and documentation for file completion across systems.
• Communicate admissions processes and policies clearly to candidates.
• Make outbound calls up to 100 per day.
• Participate in recruitment events, campus tours, open houses, webinars, and Orientation activities.
• Analyze and prepare enrollment reports for the Dean of Enrollment Management and Student Success.
• Complete processing of new enrollment files within 30 days of each start date.
• Attend campus events virtually or in person as needed.
• Work evenings and weekends as needed for business purposes.
• Assist and provide coverage for coworkers during peak periods.
