Job summary

AdCare Hospital American Addiction Centers in Worcester, MA is seeking a Treatment Advocate to assist with patient admissions, transfers and discharges, and to support daily patient activities. You will provide 1:1 observation, help with ADL tasks, and coordinate with nursing and clinical staff while upholding privacy and compassion in a fast-paced behavioral health environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum High School Diploma or equivalent.
• CNA or MA certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills.
• Ability to work as part of a team and to handle multiple tasks safely and effectively.
• Good communication skills with empathy (bedside manner).
• Working knowledge of Google Office and EMR preferred.
• Substance Abuse experience/knowledge preferred.
• All positions require a TST, MMR Titer, the ability to pass a pre-employment drug screening, and satisfactory criminal background records check.

Responsibilities

• Meet new patients in admissions and screen belongings; record valuables in EMR.
• Escort and orient patients to unit; educate on unit rules and schedules.
• Assist with safety checks, body evaluation, searches, and patient monitoring.
• Support room transfers and discharges; gather patient belongings.
• Assist with ADL activities: meals, turning, bathing, toileting, and mobility.
• Provide 1:1 patient monitoring and adjunct care per nursing guidance.
• Adhere to policies, standards, and Joint Commission requirements.
• Maintain unit stock levels and ensure privacy and confidentiality.
