Job summary

AdCare Rhode Island American Addiction Centers seeks an Admission Treatment Advocate to welcome clients and manage the admissions process. You will coordinate with the Intake team to ensure a smooth, safe transition into care, including orientation, paperwork, and handoff to the Treatment Team.

You will perform safety checks, transport clients as needed, and support clinical staff with documentation while upholding HIPAA, state standards, and AAC policies in a compassionate, patient-centered

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; degree in behavioral sciences preferred.
• Knowledge of EHR systems and clinical documentation.
• Ability to read, write, and interpret information; strong computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Welcome new patients and orient them to program rules, schedules, and expectations.
• Complete admission paperwork, obtain signatures, and assign treatment teams.
• Assist with intake process and ensure smooth transition into treatment.
• Conduct safety searches and handle belongings per policy.
• Transport clients and maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety.
• Document progress notes in the EHR and maintain HIPAA compliance.
