Job summary

AdCare Hospital American Addiction Centers in Worcester, MA is seeking a Treatment Advocate to assist with patient admissions, room transfers, and discharges. This role supports patients’ daily activities, 1:1 patient observation, and coordination with nursing staff to ensure safety and comfort.

The ideal candidate will provide compassionate care, maintain safety standards, and help empower patients on their recovery journey in a fast-paced hospital setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• CNA or MA certification preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Ability to work in a team and manage multiple tasks.
• Strong communication with empathy.
• Familiarity with Google Office and EMR preferred.
• Substance abuse experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet new patients in admissions and manage the valuables list.
• Escort and orient patients to the unit and explain rules.
• Support safety duties, including body checks and rounds.
• Assist with room transfers and discharges and help gather belongings.
• Assist with ADL activities and provide meals and fluids.
• Provide 1:1 monitoring and coordinate with nursing staff.
• Follow policies, safety, and confidentiality requirements.
• Maintain stock levels and report observations to licensed staff.
