Job summary

AdCare Rhode Island American Addiction Centers is seeking an Admission Treatment Advocate to welcome clients and guide them through admission into care. You will collaborate with Intake to ensure a smooth transition, perform safety checks, and support the treatment team.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and a valid driver’s license, with preferred experience in behavioral health and proficiency with EHR systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Associates or Bachelor's Degree preferred in Behavioral Sciences.
• Valid Driver’s License with insurable driving record.
• Minimum 1 year experience in a behavioral healthcare field preferred.
• Knowledge of using electronic health record software and documentation preferred.
• Ability to read, write and interpret information; proficient in MS Word, Excel and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Welcome clients into the treatment facility and assist in admission process.
• Coordinate with Intake team for smooth, safe transition into care.
• Conduct safety searches and ensure security during intake.
• Operate the company vehicle to transport clients when assigned.
• Document accurately in the electronic health record (EHR).
• Maintain confidentiality and professional boundaries.
