Valley Rehab & Nursing Center in Chilhowie, VA is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to guide patients and families through transitions from acute to post-acute care, delivering individualized customer service to support our Care Beyond Compare commitment.

You will welcome patients, explain admission steps, ensure rooms are prepared, coordinate with insurance, protect privacy, and work with teams to uphold service standards daily.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• Experience in post-acute admissions or patient relations.
• Proficient with computer programs including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized and detail oriented.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Responsabilités

• Build relationships with patients and families by proactively welcoming them to the center and answering service related (non-clinical) questions.
• Communicate effectively with patients and families to ensure clear understanding of admission procedures, requirements, and expectations.
• Help guide patients and families through the admissions process, explaining paperwork, consent forms, and other important information.
• Ensure patient rooms and supplies are fully prepared for new admissions.
• Communicate with insurance providers to obtain initial and extensions of authorization for services.
• Safeguard patient confidentiality and privacy in accordance with HIPAA regulations.
• Be the customer service champion for the center and ensure customer service standards are consistently upheld in all aspects of daily operation.
• Respond in timely manner to service concerns and escalate when needed.
