Job summary

American Addiction Centers seeks a Treatment Advocate to support patient recovery and help coordinate daily activities within the treatment team. The TA operates the company vehicle for transporting clients and visitors, and participates in scheduling, rounds, and counseling support.

The role requires strong communication, documentation, and safety awareness, with a schedule Monday to Thursday 3pm-12:30am and adherence to HIPAA and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required from an accredited institution.
• Associates or Bachelor’s in Behavioral Sciences preferred.
• Valid Driver’s License with insurable driving record.
• Working knowledge of vehicle safety and control systems.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in behavioral healthcare preferred.
• Experience with electronic health records and documentation.
• Ability to read, write, and present information; proficient with MS Word/Excel/Outlook.
• Overtime, weekends, holidays, and flexible hours may be required.

Responsibilities

• Greet new patients and help orient them to programming schedules.
• Coordinate patient daily activities with treatment team and staff.
• Conduct safety rounds and assist with supervision and support.
• Support transportation of patients using the company vehicle.
• Participate in regular treatment team and staff meetings.
• Ensure documentation meets meeting and regulatory standards in a timely manner.
• Communicate with departments to ensure quality patient care.
• Provide supportive services to both outpatient and inpatient populations.
• Identify safety concerns and report to Clinical Manager or CEO.
• Abide by HIPAA, 42 CFR Part 2, and company policies.
