Job summary

The University of Austin is seeking a driven admissions professional to join its Admissions Team as an Admissions Officer focused on Recruitment & Outreach. You will introduce prospective students, families, and counselors to UATX through school visits, presentations, and events across Texas and nationwide.

Onboarding and shadowing precede independent portfolio management. Approximately 50-60% travel and strong collaboration with program leadership will be central.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Excellent written, verbal, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
• Willingness and ability to travel extensively—locally and nationally, including overnight travel and some evenings/weekends.
• Ability to represent the University professionally and tailor messaging to different audiences.
• Strong relationship-building with students, families, educators, and colleagues.
• Proficiency with standard office and communication technologies and CRM systems (Element451).
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel independently.

Responsibilities

• Represent UATX at high schools, college fairs, conferences, counselor events, and other recruitment opportunities.
• Develop and deliver compelling presentations to prospective students, parents, counselors, educators, and other audiences.
• Establish relationships with high school counselors, administrators, teachers, and educational partners.
• Identify and cultivate schools and communities well suited to UATX, manage recruitment territories.
• Engage prospective students and families in conversations and guide them through the admissions process.
• Conduct outreach to prospective students and families to promote programs and events.
• Collaborate with program leadership to plan and execute special admissions events and visits.
• Track recruitment activity and maintain records in Element451 CRM.
