Job summary

CareRing Health, LLC is seeking an Intake Coordinator to manage admissions data, verify insurance, and maintain EMR systems. You will collect essential patient information through interviews and referrals, coordinate scheduling with providers, and ensure accuracy of records and benefits data.

Strong communication, organization, and familiarity with Office 365 are required. The role involves collaborating with referral sources, maintaining timely charts, and supporting ongoing department

Qualifications

• Education: high school diploma or equivalent; associate degree preferred.
• Active state RN or LPN license.
• Two years or more of experience in a similar role preferred.
• Extensive knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, PPO, HMO, and Advantage plans.

Responsibilities

• Ensure intake data for admissions requests is collected and communicated per SOPs and regulatory requirements.
• Obtain necessary demographic, financial, clinical data via referral agency, patient, or representative.
• Verify patient insurance through payer websites, calls, and other means.
• Perform clerical work and maintain patient charts for non-clinical functions.
• Track new patients and status of paperwork and benefits information in systems.
• Maintain EMR platforms timely and accurately.
• Coordinate facilities, hospitals, and referral sources to ensure timely information and scheduling.
• Maintain geographic scheduling for assigned practice/providers.
• Promote efficient admission processes by answering phones and reporting issues.
• Track referrals and compile statistics monthly or as requested.
• Represent department and organization professionally.
• Participate in scheduled department meetings.
• May perform other duties as needed and/or assigned.
