Job summary

BrightSpring Health Services seeks an experienced Admissions Manager for an on-site role at our Irving, TX location. You will work to verify benefits, liaise with commercial payers, and coordinate with a treatment team to pre-screen and admit patients with complex injuries.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years in rehabilitation or healthcare admissions, a nursing or health-care degree, and strong negotiation skills.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Nursing or health care field required; related admissions and medical insurance work experience may substitute.
Minimum 3 years of experience in rehabilitation or healthcare setting.
Strong knowledge of rehabilitation operations and third-party payer reimbursement.
Proficient data entry and computer skills including Word and Excel.
Excellent negotiation, organization, problem-solving, decision making and communication skills.
Able to function with minimal supervision and maintain professional interpersonal communication.

Responsibilities

Receives and screens referrals by contacting sources to identify client needs and coordinates with Clinical Management to assess capacity.
Completes pre-screening assessments and pre-admission paperwork including authorizations and treatment team coordination.
Oversees field staff assisting with pre-screening process and maintains payer accounts information.
Negotiates reimbursement levels with third-party payers and presents services and options to clients.
Maintains relationships with referral sources and payer case managers; tracks satisfaction and conversion rates.
