Job summary

Behavioral Hospital of Bellaire is seeking a PRN Admissions/Intake Coordinator to assist the Admissions RNs, Assessment Counselors, and the Director of Admissions with coordinating assessments, initiating Intake paperwork, insurance information, and working with Receptionist to ensure smooth transition into the admission process.

This role supports admissions workflows across inpatient and outpatient programs, focusing on accurate data gathering, compliant documentation, and a positive patient

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years’ experience in a hospital intake department preferred.
• CPR and Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) training is required or may be obtained during new hire orientation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate assessments and initiate Intake paperwork with guidance from Admissions RNs and Counselors.
• Gather and verify insurance information to support admissions processing.
• Collaborate with Reception to ensure smooth transition into the admission process.
