Qualifications

• Master’s degree in social work, counseling, psychology, or related field.
• 1+ year in mental/behavioral health preferred.
• Experience with managed care pre-certification and level of care assessments preferred.
• Clinical interviewing, patient assessment, referral, and treatment planning experience.
• Strong interpersonal and interviewing skills; telephone etiquette.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate intake, admission, and prior authorization for incoming patients.
• Performs insurance benefit verifications and communicates results to patients and staff.
• Provides coverage for the Call Center Team during times of high volume and processes admissions.
• Provide ongoing assessment of patient status in admission and authorization processes.
• Coordinate with physicians to determine level of care and referrals; ensure timely admissions.
