Job summary

Renewal Falls Recovery Center in Cedar Falls, IA is looking for a Financial Coordinator to join our Admissions team as we open a new treatment center. This role helps prospective patients and families understand the financial side of treatment, assists with insurance verification and financial clearance, and guides payments and arrangements before admission.

You are organized, compassionate, and detail‑oriented, able to discuss deductibles, copays, and balances clearly.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
2+ years of experience in healthcare admissions, patient financial services, insurance verification, medical billing, revenue cycle, financial counseling, or a related field preferred.
Experience working with health insurance benefits or patient financial responsibility strongly preferred.
Strong customer service and communication skills.
Proficient with Microsoft Office and electronic health records or admissions platforms.

Responsibilities

Serve as a key financial resource within the Admissions Department.
Assist with financial clearance for prospective patients before admission.
Review available insurance benefit and eligibility information.
Explain estimated deductibles, copayments, coinsurance, and other anticipated patient responsibility.
Communicate changes that may affect billing or patient responsibility and collect payments.
Maintain clear documentation of financial conversations, payments, and outstanding items.
