Job summary
The New School invites applications for an Admission Events Graduate Assistant to support staffing for recruitment events and to assist in planning, setup, and guest management. You will help create video/photo content and social media outreach, while representing the university warmly to prospective students and families.
You will work with staff and student teams, contributing to Welcome Center activities and promotional materials, ensuring accurate information about programs and services
Qualifications
- Experience in customer-facing roles and events are preferred.
- Attention to aesthetics and detail in display materials and environments.
- Strong communication and organizational skills are essential.
- Ability to work collaboratively and support staff during recruitment events.
- Familiarity with social media and basic design tools is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with event setup and breakdown for various sizes of events.
- Check-in attendees and guests and help manage flow at events.
- Greet prospective students and families and provide information.
- Assist with materials, inventories, and supplies.
- Support communications using Canvas, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and video/photo editing tools.
