Job summary

The New School in New York is seeking an Admission Events Graduate Assistant to support staff during recruitment yield events. You will assist with setup and breakdown, check-in, and guest management, and contribute to video/photo production and social media campaigns for admission events.

Ideal candidates are enrolled students with strong attention to detail, excellent communication, and highly organized work habits, plus familiarity with Canva, Adobe Suite, and Instagram.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in a degree program at The New School.
• Prior retail or event experience helpful.
• Impeccable attention to detail and aesthetics required.
• Excellent communicator with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and autonomously.

Responsibilities

• Event setup and breakdown.
• Check-in attendees and guests.
• Warmly welcome prospective and admitted students and families.
• Assist with materials inventory and guest management.
• Support communication tasks using Canva, Adobe Suite, Microsoft Office, and video/photo editing software.
• Contribute to Welcome Center Instagram, admitted student communities, panels, and social media content.
