Job summary

The Alden Network seeks an Admissions Director in Chicago to plan, organize, develop, and operate the Admissions Department in compliance with regulatory standards. You will screen referrals, verify eligibility, and manage admission documents to ensure contract and financial compliance in the EMR.

You will partner with the Corporate AR team to ensure timely collections, drive census growth with feeder hospitals, and coordinate with nursing and administration for smooth admissions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 2 years direct experience.
• Knowledge of long‑term care preferred.
• Able to work independently with tact and discretion.
• Multitask, meet deadlines, and think analytically.
• Excellent customer service and respectful attitude.
• Proficient with Excel and Outlook; EMR systems experience.
• Insurance portals experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the resident referral process and ensure screening and eligibility per policy.
• Coordinate admission documents and agreements in the EMR on time.
• Collaborate with AR, nursing and administration to ensure payments and census accuracy.
• Develop relationships with feeder hospitals and community agencies to increase referrals.
• Promote facility services and census development through outreach.
