Job summary

The Alden Network is seeking an Admissions Director in Illinois to plan and manage the Admissions Department in compliance with federal, state, and facility policies. You will screen referrals for eligibility and ensure all contracts and forms are completed at admission, with EMR documentation and proactive collaboration with AR.

Qualifications

• Plan, organize, develop and operate the Admission Department according to regulations and facility policy.
• Screen referrals and verify eligibility prior to admission.
• Obtain and sign all admission forms/agreements for contract and financial compliance.
• Partner with Corporate AR to ensure timely payments and reduce bad debt.
• Develop relationships with feeder hospitals and community organizations to increase census.

Responsibilities

• Review referrals and ensure SNF coverage and Medicaid/Medicare/Insurance eligibility before admission.
• Ensure admission documents are uploaded and properly categorized in the EMR (PointClickCare).
• Collaborate with Interdisciplinary Team to assess resident needs and assign rooms.
• Communicate admissions, discharges and transfers to relevant departments in a timely manner.
• Coordinate financial discussions with residents/POAs/Guardians and schedules with AR for payments.
• Monitor AR Aging and coordinate with Corporate team on payment collection.
