Job summary

PACS Group is recruiting a Director of Admissions & Census Development for its post-acute network. The role leads the admissions process, supervises the Admissions & Referral Coordinator, and partners with facility leadership to optimize census and referral conversions.

The position requires strong healthcare admissions experience, robust leadership abilities, and a proactive, process-driven approach to ensure timely admissions and high occupancy.

Qualifications

• Healthcare admissions experience including skilled nursing or post-acute care, hospital discharge planning or related field.
• Strong organizational, communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to manage high-volume, fast-paced admissions work.

Responsibilities

• Oversee admissions process from referral through successful admission.
• Manage census development and maintain occupancy goals (≥95%).
• Coordinate insurance verification and financial coordination with relevant departments.
• Schedule tours, follow up with referral sources, and drive conversion to admissions.
