The role focuses on building relationships, coordinating admissions, and working with healthcare professionals to ensure a smooth transition from referral to admission.

The ideal candidate has experience in healthcare admissions, strong organizational and communication skills, and the ability to lead an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Experience in healthcare admissions, healthcare marketing, business development, customer service, or long-term care.
• Leadership or supervisory experience in healthcare or long-term care settings preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and insurance processes preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage admissions from referral to resident admission.
• Review referrals and coordinate with interdisciplinary team for admission appropriateness.
• Coordinate tours for prospective residents and families.
• Develop relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, and community partners.
• Ensure admission paperwork and documentation are completed accurately and timely.
• Maintain admissions records, reports, and tracking systems.
• Support census development and occupancy growth initiatives.
• Serve as liaison between referrals, residents, families, and facility staff.
• Communicate admission decisions and next steps professionally.
• Follow up with prospective residents, families, and referral sources.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Manage the admissions process from initial referral and inquiry through resident admission.
• Review referrals and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to determine admission appropriateness.
• Coordinate tours for prospective residents and their families.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with hospitals, physicians, case managers, discharge planners, and community partners.
• Ensure admission paperwork and required documentation are completed accurately and on time.
• Maintain accurate admissions records, reports, and tracking systems.
• Support census development and occupancy growth initiatives.
• Serve as a liaison between referral sources, residents, families, and facility staff.
• Communicate admission decisions, updates, and next steps in a timely and professional manner.
• Conduct consistent follow-up with prospective residents, families, and referral sources.
• Coordinate with clinical and administrative teams to ensure a smooth transition into the facility.
• Ensure compliance with applicable federal, state, facility, and healthcare regulations.
• Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA requirements.
• Provide exceptional customer service throughout the admissions and transition process.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

• Previous experience in healthcare admissions, healthcare marketing, business development, customer service, or long-term care.
• Previous leadership or supervisory experience in a healthcare or long-term care setting preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, and insurance processes preferred.
• Strong verbal, written, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
• Strong relationship-building and customer service skills.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record (EMR) systems and Microsoft Office.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with an interdisciplinary team.
• Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business, Marketing, or a related field preferred.
