Acadia Healthcare's Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital seeks an Admissions Supervisor to oversee the overnight admissions team. You will manage intake, coordinate with the business office, and ensure timely precertifications and patient safety.

The role requires a master’s degree or RN licensure with supervisory experience, CPR/De-escalation certification, and a commitment to compassionate care. Schedule includes 11:00 pm–7:30 am on weekdays and alternating weekends.

• Two or more years’ experience in a healthcare admissions role.
• One or more years supervisory experience.
• Must have licensure - LPC, LMSW etc.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required.
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

• Serve as a preceptor for new admissions team staff.
• Report shift challenges to AOC, Admissions Manager or Director.
• Maintain a positive, empathetic, and professional attitude and address complaints to protect patient safety.

Overview

We are currently seeking an Admissions Supervisor to join oversee our night shift team at Montrose Behavioral Health Hospital. Our mission is to deliver personalized care to individuals experiencing mental health disorders and co-occurring substance use issues.

Our comprehensive continuum of care offers the community a range of effective behavioral health treatment options. We provide premier inpatient services for children ages 5–12, adolescents ages 13–17, adults 18 and older, and seniors 55 and older. In addition, we offer outpatient programs for both adolescents and adults.

PURPOSE STATEMENT:

Supervise the nightly operations of patient intake and/or admissions, which may include call and referral management, scheduling of assessments and admissions, completion of benefit verification, and prioritization of completion of all precertification’s.

Monday - Friday from 11:00 pm - 7:30 am and every other weekend

MUST BE COMFORTABLE WORKING AND WALKING BETWEEN BOTH BUILDINGS

Pay range- $ 29.84-$34.95 based on experience

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• For assigned shift will plan, assign, supervise, perform required duties to ensure patient safety and the efficiency of the department.
• Prioritization of potential admissions, considering patient needs and the facility’s capability and capacity to meet that need in the most appropriate and manner.
• Knowledge of milieu management.
• Knowledge of appropriate clinical assessment, diagnoses, and interventions with patients.
• Coordination with the business office to ensure that timely and accurate financial counseling of patients occurs when appropriate.

• Provide guidance and direction to staff and encourage/build mutual trust, respect and cooperation among team members.
• Ensure that EMTALA log, if applicable, is completed for each patient seen by admissions.
• Participate in staff training by serving as a preceptor for new admission team employees.
• Report shift challenges promptly to AOC, Admissions Manager or Admissions Director.
• Demonstrate a positive, empathetic and professional attitude towards customers always. When patient needs are not met, acknowledge and work to resolve complaints. Recognize that patient safety is a top priority.

OTHER FUNCTIONS:

• Perform other functions and tasks as assigned.

LICENSES/DESIGNATIONS/CERTIFICATIONS:

• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire and offered by facility).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.
