Job summary

Harrisburg Area Community College (HACC) is seeking an admissions counselor to recruit future students through personalized communications, community interactions, and events. You will be an on-campus front-facing representative, partnering with high schools and communities to guide applicants through the admissions process.

Minimum qualifications include an Associate Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing or related field and three years of higher education experience.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree in Communications, Business, Marketing or related field plus three years of higher education experience or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license and PA Act 15 clearances may be required.

Responsibilities

• Recruit future students - Essential
• Present HACC to diverse populations through formal presentations, one-on-one in-person and virtual appointments, campus tours and written communications - Essential
• Meet with future students on a regular basis to answer HACC questions and assist in admissions process - Essential
• Lead HACC related committees or workgroups - Essential
• Plan, develop and execute on-site and virtual admissions events - Essential
• Assist future students with completing HACC’s application - Essential
• Attend college fairs, job fairs, high school information sessions and other community events to present and provide information about HACC to future students - Essential
• Manage high volume of communications with future students - Essential
• Communicate clearly and effectively in writing, by phone, through Zoom and in-person - Essential
• Provide excellent, consistent, equitable and fair customer service to all individuals - Essential
• Perform other duties as assigned - Standard
