The Admissions Counselor manages the transition from initial contact to client admission, including risk assessment, crisis intervention, referral coordination, and communication with stakeholders. Responsibilities include managing inquiry calls, telephonic screening, insurance verification, triage, tracking admissions, follow-up, documentation, and delivering excellent customer service.

Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology or Human Services preferred. Experience in intake, assessment, admission, crisis intervention with mental health or chemical dependency populations, preferably in a day treatment, residential, or inpatient setting, is a plus. Knowledge of insurance, mental health, and chemical dependency treatment coverage is preferred. Data entry experience and knowledge of crisis intervention, risk assessment, psychiatric and chemical dependency diagnoses, age-specific development, and behavior management are desirable.
