Job summary

Ochsner Rehabilitation Hospital, a joint venture with Select Medical, is hiring an Admissions Coordinator to be a key member of the admissions and business development team. This full-time, on-site role runs M-F 8am–5pm, handling referrals, admissions, and coordination with departments to ensure smooth patient intake.

You will work within HMS/MedHost systems, with focus on timely admissions, accurate documentation, and excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of two years' experience in an Admissions or Pre-Admissions role.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Experience with Excel and databases preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage referral intake and hospital admissions, coordinating with departments for admission day.
• Ensure accurate entry of referrals in the system and timely insurance verifications.
• Assist in pre-cert/authorization processes and track follow-ups.
• Provide excellent patient and family service and conduct admissions paperwork.
