Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Phoenix, a Select Medical LTACH, is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join our on-site team. This full-time role supports the referral intake, admission day processes, and coordination with multiple departments to ensure a seamless patient experience in a post-ICU setting.

You will verify Medicare and secondary insurance, manage data entry, and help guarantee the patient is admitted with all necessary accommodations.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital, physician practice or insurance environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Manage referral intake and admission processes with the Business Development Team.
• Coordinate with clinical liaisons, case managers and physicians to prepare for admission.
• Verify patient benefits and insurance coverage to ensure smooth admission.
• Enter accurate referral and admission data into online databases.
• Ensure all equipment and necessities are ready in the patient room on admission.
