Job summary

Select Specialty Hospital - Nashville West is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to join our Critical Illness Recovery Hospital (LTACH). This full-time role supports referral intake, admission processing, and coordination with multiple teams to ensure a smooth patient transition.

You will verify benefits, coordinate with departments, and help prepare for day-of-admission, while upholding the patient-first approach in our post-ICU care setting.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in hospital/physician practice or insurance environment.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.

Responsibilities

• Manage referral intake and admission of all patients.
• Communicate with departments to prepare for admission.
• Lead conversion calls with Business Development team each morning.
• Verify Medicare benefits and secondary insurance plans for referred patients.
• Enter referral, admission, denial and conversion data in online systems.
• Ensure all deficiencies remain at 0% to keep the hospital financially viable.
• Coordinate equipment, medications and needs in the patient’s room.
• Give patient tours and obtain signed consent to treat forms.
