Job summary

Calvert County Nursing Center is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to assist the Admissions Director with meeting census goals by coordinating the facility’s patient flow, admissions process, referrals, and sign-in, while upholding resident dignity and projecting a positive image to residents, families, visitors, and peers.

Qualifications

• Experience in admissions/marketing in a healthcare environment.
• Long-Term care experience required.
• Knowledge of Medicare and 3rd party billing.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Must be detail oriented and have excellent customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Record inquiries, admissions, and discharges and assist with census reports.
• Maintain daily/monthly census records and verify with Business Office.
• Follow up with referrals promptly.
• Schedule and conduct facility tours for customers and referrals.
• Ensure paperwork is signed and distributed per policy.
