Job summary

MediLodge Admissions Director position at MediLodge of Livingston in Michigan oversees the inquiry and admission process, facility tours, and community outreach to drive referrals. You will coordinate with hospital discharge planners and referral sources, manage bed availability, and ensure compliant admissions practices.

The role requires an Associate or Bachelor’s in business/communications, 2+ years in long-term care admissions or community education, and strong presentation skills; RN

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree in business/communications preferred.
• Two years LT care admissions/community education experience preferred.
• RN preferred.
• Experience in healthcare admissions/community relations is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Respond to inquiries from hospital discharge planners, families, and referral sources with timely follow-up.
• Manage admission process by maintaining bed availability and facility services information.
• Conduct facility tours and monitor occupancy and census/premium mix.
• Make discharge calls to hospitals, professionals, and community contacts and maintain referral relationships.
• Spend at least 50% of time outside the facility on community education generating referrals and admissions.
• Coordinate admission plans and lead weekly Census Development meetings.
• Maintain knowledge of Federal/State regulations and reimbursement guidelines.
