Horizon Specialty Hospital Henderson is seeking an Admissions Coordinator who will serve as the first point of contact for new patients, families, and the public. The role emphasizes outstanding customer service, attention to detail, and collaboration with discharge planners to guide tours and admissions.

The successful candidate will handle admissions paperwork, educate staff on the process, and engage referral sources to help increase census. Local travel may be required.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of admissions experience in a healthcare setting.
• Long-term care experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology; discuss clinical evaluations with physicians and caregivers.
• Travel locally by personal car; reliable transportation.

Responsabilités

• Develop and manage initial contact with discharge planner, family, or responsible party to initiate tour and follow-up procedures.
• Manage the tour process using established tour practices that promote effective conversion of referrals to admissions, and ensure timely and effective tours are conducted and other staffs are trained to tour in the Admission Coordinator’s absence.
• Manage the admissions process, to include the use of all mandatory admissions paperwork, timely and accurate completion of paperwork, courteous treatment of residents and family members, and implementation of quality/expectation setting guidelines where appropriate.
• Develop and implement internal in servicing of key employees regarding their role in the admissions process.
• Conduct external sales activity with current referral sources to increase census.

Posted Salary Range

USD $20.00 - USD $28.00 /Hr.

Wage Commensuration

The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, skill sets, experience, education and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Manage the admissions process, to include the use of all mandatory admissions paperwork, timely and accurate completion of paperwork, courteous treatment of residents and family members, and implementation of quality/expectation setting guidelines where appropriate. They also provide pertinent information about incoming residents to all relevant departments within the facility.
• Develop and implement internal in servicing of key employees regarding their role in the admissions process.
• Conduct external sales activity with current referral sources to increase census.

Qualifications & Requirements

• 1+ years of experience in an Admissions position in healthcare environment
• Long term care experience required
• Knowledge of medical terminology – ability to discuss clinical evaluations with physicians and other care givers within facility
• Must be able to travel locally by personal automobile as required
• Reliable transportation required
