Job summary

Cupertino-Healthcare- is seeking an Admissions Coordinator to manage referrals, verify finances, and guide families through the admission process. The role includes coordinating tours, explaining policies, and leading daily admissions meetings to improve conversion and ensure smooth patient intake.

The position requires strong organizational and communication skills, with experience in healthcare admissions and familiarity with Medicare/Medi-Cal guidelines preferred.

Qualifications

• Two to three years experience with the admissions process at a SNF, subacute, rehab, or other health care facility.
• Excellent organizational skills with a detail orientation towards documentation and follow-up.
• Professional telephone skills with the ability to handle referral calls effectively and efficiently, meeting the needs of the referral sources and families.
• Inside or outside sales experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtains referral information from telephone and walk-in inquiries for admission committee approval.
• Ensures financial verification is accurate before admission to reduce accounts receivable.
• Obtains family commitment to tour and conducts a professional tour with Center personnel.
• Explains admission policies and ensures smooth paperwork completion at admission.
• Chairs daily admissions meetings and supports increasing conversion rate above 65%.
• Informs Marketing Director of referral source issues and develops relationships with referral sources.
