Job summary

The Admissions Clinician at Cedar Ridge Behavioral Hospital (a UHS facility) conducts telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, coordinating referral sources, intake, and admission processes for youth and adults in a behavioral health setting.

Ideal candidates will have RN or advanced degrees in counseling/psychology/social work, be at least 21, and able to complete required background checks and drug testing.

Qualifications

• Prior intake, assessment, admission and crisis intervention experience with a psychiatric mental health population required preferably in an inpatient setting
• Registered Nurse or Masters Degree in Counseling, Psychology or Social Work field required
• BSN or licensure/license eligible for LCSW, LPC, or LMFT preferred
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Successfully complete a drug test
• Successfully pass national background check

Responsibilities

• Provide telephonic and in-person risk assessment and crisis intervention, initial contact with referral sources and potential patients, coordinates the referral and intake process, determines appropriate level of care, facilitates the admission process and maintains communication with referral sources, families, patients and unit staff.
