Job summary

Universal Health Services is seeking an Admission Clinician at Lighthouse Care Center of Augusta to support intake processes and ensure high-quality patient service in a regulated environment.

Role involves comprehensive assessment of individuals with mental illness or related challenges, collaboration with the admissions team, and coordination with referral sources. A Master’s degree and relevant licensure are preferred; LICENSURE for LPNs/RNs is encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in counseling or related field and at least 2 years of experience in counseling or behavioral health.
• LAPC, LPC, LMSW, LCSW or LMFT licensure preferred.
• LPNs and RNs encouraged to apply with valid licensure.
• Experience in intake/admissions processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily census records.
• Enter intake and admission data into hospital database.
• Handle intake calls and verify insurance benefits.
• Establish and maintain relationships with referral sources.
• Review clinicals for new patients and process walk-in inquiries.

The Admission Clinician opportunity is a key member of the Lighthouse Admissions Team who will support all aspects of intake processes and procedures; ensuring that delivery of high-quality customer service is consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Universal Health Services and in accordance with government regulation, licensing and accreditation requirements. The Admission Clinician is responsible for comprehensive assessment of persons whose lives are disrupted or complicated by mental illness, behavioral disturbance, substance issues or inability to function or maintain in the community.

Job Duties/Responsibilities:

• Maintaining daily census records
• Entering all intake and admission data into a hospital computer database
• Handling intake calls and verifying insurance benefits
• Establishing and maintaining positive relationships with referral sources
• Reviewing clinicals for new patients, completing assessments, and processing walk in inquiries

Qualifications

Education and/or Experience:
