We are seeking a compassionate Admissions Assistant for our men's treatment facility in Chaplin, Kentucky. This role helps clients and families start treatment by assisting with screenings, scheduling, admissions coordination, and bed

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Previous experience in admissions, client intake, insurance verification, funding sources, billing coordination, healthcare, behavioral health, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong communication, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
  • Crisis intervention, de-escalation, and conflict resolution skills preferred.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, changing environment while maintaining accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients, families, referral sources, and internal team members.
  • Basic computer proficiency and the ability to learn and effectively use electronic documentation and admissions systems.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with Isaiah House policies, procedures, Core Values, and HIPAA requirements.
  • Monitor bed availability throughout the day to ensure accurate and timely admission planning.
  • Respond professionally and compassionately to calls, referrals, and questions from prospective clients, family members, Client Care Navigators, and other referral sources.
  • Complete client applications, first-contact communications, insurance and payment verification, scheduling, and required intake documentation within Celerity.
  • Coordinate with attorneys, judges, correctional facilities, Admissions Coordinators, and other team members to facilitate client authorization and admission into treatment.
  • Provide clear and accurate information regarding the admissions process, program requirements, and next steps.
  • Assist prospective clients and families in identifying and addressing barriers that may delay or prevent admission into treatment.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential documentation throughout the admissions process.
  • Work collaboratively with the Admissions team and other departments to help ensure a smooth transition into treatment.

With a heart for transforming lives, we serve individuals and families across the Commonwealth through a full continuum of care, from residential treatment to outpatient services and recovery support.

We are seeking a compassionate, dependable Admissions Assistant to join our team at our men's treatment facility in Chaplin, Kentucky. The Admissions Assistant plays an important role in helping clients and their families navigate the first steps toward treatment and recovery. This position supports the admissions process by assisting with client screenings, scheduling, coordinating admissions, and monitoring bed availability to help ensure a smooth and welcoming experience.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable answering questions, communicating with clients and families, addressing potential barriers to care, and providing compassionate support throughout the admissions process. All responsibilities must be performed in accordance with Isaiah House Core Values, HIPAA requirements, and organizational policies and procedures.

Physical Requirements
  • Ability to perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Primarily a desk-based position requiring extended periods of sitting.
  • Regular use of a computer, keyboard, mouse, telephone, and other standard office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively by phone, email, and during meetings.
  • Occasional standing, walking, reaching, bending, and handling of office materials.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or carry items weighing up to 15 pounds.
