Job summary

South University in Pittsburgh seeks an Admissions Representative to recruit qualified applicants and guide them through the enrollment process, in alignment with accreditation standards and institutional policies. The role involves high-volume phone outreach, scheduling interviews, and coordinating with Student Support Services to ensure successful matriculation.

You will work with faculty and staff across departments to explain programs, costs, and services, while upholding ethical standards

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or related field with admissions or sales experience.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with faculty and student populations.
• Superior organizational and problem-resolution skills.
• Goal-oriented and highly ethical.
• Proficiency with MS Office and reporting tools.
• Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Explain educational programs, outcomes, student services, and financial considerations to students, parents, and educators.
• Manage inquiries to achieve prompt contact and meet weekly performance goals; utilize approved recruitment policies/formats; redirect unqualified candidates.
• Secure new inquiries by directly asking phone and in-person contacts about referrals of others.
• Schedule and conduct interviews, pursue qualified candidates for enrollment, and determine fit.
• Forecast projected new students for admissions leadership.
• Conduct follow-up meetings monthly with all applicants to ensure matriculation.
• Assist other personnel and departments with data collection and problem-solving.
• Participate in recruitment and enrollment activities including open houses, regional presentations, and career days.
• Other duties as assigned.
