Job summary

Gurnick Academy of Medical Arts is seeking an Admissions Advisor I for our Fresno, CA campus. This full-time on-campus role screens and counsels prospective students on program fit, maintaining oversight through the early stages of enrollment and the first 30 days of the program.

The AA will interview candidates, coordinate campus tours, educate applicants on requirements, and monitor progress while partnering with campus leadership to optimize enrollment outcomes.

Responsibilities

• Review and respond to web inquiries and phone calls from prospective students.
• Schedule appointments and campus tours for prospects.
• Interview candidates to assess motivation and fit for programs.
• Educate candidates on program requirements and documentation needs.
• Provide feedback and coaching to candidates on enrollment readiness.
• Maintain and update candidate status through the admissions process.
• Prepare enrollment reports for weekly campus meetings.

The AA is ultimately the primary screen for student acceptance through using a combination of tools including interviewing, initial competency test scores, review of experience, and review of prior academic requirements. The AA will ultimately require the knowledge of each program at their campus and be prepared to offer counsel to prospective students on both the viability of the program for the student and ensuring the students stated goals are in alignment with the career opportunities presented by the program the student is interested in.
